Personalized Free Trial

A while ago, we set out to offer a personalized, free approach to add value to the Brands we engage with. Initially, we provided coaching sessions aimed at equipping companies with the immediate knowledge they needed to achieve their short-term goals. However, despite the excitement and motivation these sessions generated, many Brands struggled to implement the strategies effectively over time.

To address this, we decided to introduce a structured free trial. This initiative allows businesses not only to understand the theoretical strategies tailored to their needs but also to experience hands-on implementation over two weeks. By the end of this period, they are set on the right path with a strategic plan for the following months, based on what we have already put into place. In this blog post, we’ll break down what our free trial entails.

A Tailored Approach

It’s important to clarify that our free trial is not a one-size-fits-all solution. We don’t believe something like this even exists.

Instead, we focus on delivering what each company needs at the moment they start the trial. For example: a business that has been using Klaviyo for two years requires a different strategy than one just starting out.

While we don’t follow a rigid process, we do use an internal checklist to determine the company’s level and ensure we provide the best possible solution. Below is an overview of our key focus areas.

1. Klaviyo Setup & Integrations

For businesses that don’t yet have a Klaviyo account, the first step is to help them set one up.

We not only create and manage the account but also configure all necessary integrations to ensure Klaviyo runs smoothly from day one. Additionally, we implement extra integrations based on the company’s existing tools. For instance, connecting Klaviyo with Loox enables automated review flows, while integrating Canva simplifies email design processes.

For businesses with an existing Klaviyo account, we conduct a thorough check to ensure everything is running optimally before moving on to the next steps.

Another crucial aspect we address early on is Email Templates.

If it’s a new account, we create templates from scratch, collaborating with the client to develop a consistent Brand identity. If templates already exist, we analyze their performance and suggest optimizations based on engagement metrics.

2. Essential Email Flows

Email flows are the backbone of Klaviyo, and our approach involves categorizing them based on their importance and impact. Over the 14-day trial, we focus on one of the three brackets below while also recommending improvements in other areas.

Bracket 1: Core Flows

These are the most essential flows every Klaviyo account should have, optimized to the highest level:

  • Welcome Flow: Ensuring a strong lead magnet, effective signup forms, and a compelling first impression.
  • Abandoned Cart Flow: Implementing personalized messages based on checkout behavior and discount strategies.
  • Post-Purchase Flow: Tailoring messaging based on purchase history to enhance customer retention and satisfaction.

Bracket 2: Secondary Flows

While not as critical as the Core Flows, these flows contribute significantly to long-term success:

  • Winback and Sunset Flows: Keeping the email list engaged and clean.
  • Back-in-Stock Flow: Maximizing sales opportunities when products are restocked.
  • Browse Abandonment Flow: Encouraging potential buyers to take the next step in their purchasing journey.

Bracket 3: Custom Initiatives

These are personalized flows tailored to the client’s specific needs, such as:

  • VIP Triggers: Exclusive offers for loyal customers based on their purchase behavior.
  • Product-Specific Flows: Customized sequences for particular product collections.
  • Other Unique Strategies: Any automation that aligns with the company’s goals not included in previous categories.

3. Segmentation & Campaign Strategy

A crucial part of our free trial is assessing the health of the client’s email database. This involves:

  • Reviewing segmentation strategies to ensure effective targeting.
  • Creating a structured plan to regulate campaign frequency and audience selection.
  • Analyzing past campaign performance (if applicable) and designing a content calendar for ongoing use beyond the trial period.

By optimizing these elements, we ensure that businesses can maximize engagement and conversion rates.

The 14-Day Free Trial Process

While this may seem like a lot to cover in just two weeks, our goal is to involve the client in every step. This ensures they understand the process, stay informed about what’s happening with their Klaviyo account, and have a clear roadmap for the future.

Our trial includes multiple touchpoints (via messages, calls, and videos) to ensure smooth communication and progress tracking.

At the end of the free trial, if the client is happy with the process, we are always happy to discuss the opportunity to continue working together and keep executing and refining the strategy we’ve outlined.

However, even without further collaboration, the trial itself provides all the foundational elements necessary to achieve Klaviyo excellence.
